Do not ever buy it. The paper gets wadded up in the narrow space where it is supposed to come out!
I and my partners over the years have bought and used Brother fax machines in our offices.
When my Intellifax 2800 finally wore out (nice machine - I had two), I went to Staples to find that the 2800 is no longer made but that there is now the 2820. So, I bought the 'Intellifax 2820' and within two months after purchasing it the thing started jamming - badly. I think it may be a design flaw as the paper gets literally wadded up in the narrow space where it is supposed to come out. Anyway, the last time it jammed paper up so badly that it wound around the red rubber roller in the back of the machine and broke something in the back cover area when the paper was removed. So, when I called, the brother customer service representative says (in English so bad that I hardly understood it), "we apologize for the inconvenience" but that since a part broke Brother would send me to an authorized repair center but would not pay for it.
Brother should stop apologizing for the "inconvenience" and start apologizing for this piece of junk. Maybe the postive comments on this site are possibly from folks who work for Brother because I too am shocked to see any. Too bad, I have used Brother for years but now I ditto what I have seen written on Brother products: "NEVER BROTHER, NEVER AGAIN!"
