Brother IntelliFAX 2820 Plain Paper Laser Fax

Over 3 years ago I bought a Brother FAX 560 for light faxing duties (25 to 50 a month) in my home office. This was a very adequate fax machine and copier. I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of jams that occured over the 3 year period. Yeah. I was pleased with my 50 buck investment. But over the last few months my fax volume has grown and I found myself in need of a fax machine that could step up to the plate and handle more faxes without having to replace the fax ribbon so often as was the case with the 560. . I was inclined to lean toward another Brother. I comparison shopped online. Read owner reviews of the other brand fax machines, etc. I didn't need color...monochrome faxing and copying was fine with me. Also I wanted to stay in the sub $200.00 range. And I wanted a machine that had reasonably priced replacement cartridges with as low a cost per page as possible. Well it wasn't long before I discovered the Brother Intellifax 2820. As this was a relatively new product on the market there were few owner reviews but the ones I read were generally positive. Anyway I toted home from Staples the 2820. Set up took less than 45 minutes. The manual was easy to follow. I did have one question. Within 2 minutes of dialing Brother support I was talking to a kind and helpful person who answered my query.
While I have had the Intellifax 2820 for just over a month I am very pleased with the way this puppy performs with fast, crisp, clear laser faxes and copies. I especially like the 250 sheet paper capacity that allows me as Ron Popiel would say to kinda.."set it and forget it!" In fact Ron is probably green with envy that he didn't design the 2820.
