Brother Coverhem 2340CV Mechanical Sewing Machine

Brother 2340CV coverstitch with two different sizes of coverstitch and also has a chainstitch.  If you look at a sweatshirt or knit top and see two or three lines of stitching at the hem, this is what the coverstitch machine does along with sewing on bindings and other things.  I, myself, purchased it for sewing with knits.  You can also purchase binders to sew on bindings on t-shirts.  I purchased this from Ken's Sewing Center in Alabama for $299 which I think is very reasonable.  I paid a little bit more than that for my Juki serger.  The Brother 2340CV looks difficult to thread but actually I think it's easier than my serger because you only have one looper to deal with.  It's easier to thread and operate than it looks.  To end your stitching, you must release the needle tensions first but after doing it several times, it's no big deal.
