Good Serger... When it Works!

Easy to thread, color coded system, easily adjustable foot tension
Cons
Not reliable, no storage for accessories

No
The Bottom Line:
Don't waist your time buying this machine!
This serger is total crap! I bought it so that I can do my school project at home instead of walking to the school everyday. It works fine one day, put it down, and the next day, I'll pick it up to do a school project, and it won't work! No one's touched it since it worked last, it just stops working. Even if it's completely threaded properly, straight threads would come out instead of it overlocking. I would say that maybe it's just defective and doesn't work at all, but it starts to work when I test it, and then just stops working when I have something important to do! For a small machine, it certainly makes a lot of noise.
On the plus side, when it does work it does a great job at overlocking and capable of several features with additional feet. For example, it does 3 or 4 thread overlocking, rolled hem, ribbon lock, narrow hemming, pin tucks, flat lock, and blind hemming. It also has stitch width control. It's small, lightweight, and easy to store, has a super easy color coded threading system, even comes with an instruction step by step DVD for all us visual learners, and a retractable knife.
I would not recommend buying this machine, it's not worth the $$$. You would be much happier if you just spend $100 more and bought a Janome, which also does coverstich and is very reliable.
