Brookstone Pure-Ion UV Air Purifier

I am a 73 year old woman who has been suffering from continuing respiratory problems ever since I purchased my Pure-Ion air purifier from Brookstone. It has also been instrumental, I believe, in my eyes watering and aggravated my asthma. I have been using this Ionizer for over 2 years as my conditions worsened. Because of the difficulty in cleaning this product I turned it off. Over the last 3 weeks it has been turned off and my breathing has become easier, my eyes have stopped watering and I have not had to use my inhaler for over a week now. I needed to use it daily when the Pure-Ion was turned on. I tried to return it for the $395.00 I paid for it but was told there was no way they would refund my money even for a store credit. I had numerous other issues but never thought to attribute it to the Pure-Ion. I have been a good customer of Brookstone but will no longer shop there. I was sold this product based on the claims that it would be cleaning the air which would help in all respiratory issues and I just wanted to maintain my good health. It never entered my mind that this product was aggravating the condition that I was trying to control. Before you purchase this product I suggest you do some Internet searching about Ionizers. I just did so which confirms my suspicions. Brookstone, shame on you !!!!!
