Portable Versatile Everyday Binoculars

Pros Portable, inexpensive & sturdy
Cons limited lens size.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Extremely portable and functional set of binoculars. They have curb appeal and would make an excellent gift.
Portability
A very lightweight and compact 62mm x 76mm [2 3/8" x 3"] set of binoculars. As with most binoculars these too have a long string to allow them to hang over your neck. Though the string could be a little more comfortable with a bit of padding, it is mostly a non issue because they are so lightweight and you will hardly notice they are hanging around the back of your neck.

Zoom
With a magnification of 6x18 they provide sufficient zoom for most purposes and are most useful when working in adequate lighting conditions. During periods of low light, the 18mm diameter of the objective lens can be a bit of a liability, particularly when bird watching or hunting. Adjustment is made individually for each telescope, allowing the focus to be tailored for each particular eye. Additionally, when adjusted properly they are quite good at giving one clear field of vision without any distraction in the middle of the the field of vision that is sometimes a problem.

Body
Though small and lightweight, they feel firm and sturdy. The body is constructed of steel. It is made up of a frame that attaches each of the two telescopes at each end. It is easy to adjust width between the telescopes for different users (ranging between 34-82 mm [1 1/4"-3 1/4"], maintaining a firm, but manageable resistance. The frame contains a built-in compass, though at only 11mm [less than 1/2"] across it is difficult to read. Additionally I have noticed that mine has stopped working for one reason or another. So while this is an attempt at a handy feature, the reality is that you should continue to carry a compass when necessary and only purchase these for the viewing pleasure.

Storage
They come in a very simple fau-leather zipper case that is a good tight fit for the binoculars. The case contains a loop so that you can carry it on your belt and a strap in case you prefer to carry it in your hand.

As a final thought, though they are advertised as fog free I have found that they will fog when taken between extreme temperatures.
