So far so good--it's ginormous!

Pros Sturdy, plenty of room to grow, easy adjustment for shoulder harness
Cons It's huge and heavy
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Another good, sturdy Britax product.
We just put this in the car yesterday. It's the upgrade for our daughter who has been enjoying a Britax Marathon since she was 6 months old. (Time to pass that down to her baby brother.) Her stats: 2 yrs, 3 months. 33 pounds. 36 ish inches tall.

It is HUGE and sits really low so it looks way different. She is a tall 2 yr old but it she looks dwarfed by the Frontier. The edge of the seat hits her mid calf which I am thinking would be uncomfortable on a long trip... but on her first joyride yesterday she napped great (not normal).

Very solid installation as is my experience with all Britax seats. The head rest and shoulder belt is on a sliding mechanism so it is easily adjustable without taking the whole seat apart. There is a flip around plastic leveling piece on the bottom so that when used as a car seat (with the back) it is angled more like a bucket seat. When used as a backless booster it would flip around to make the seat sit level.

Did I mention that it is huge and heavy? I worked as a flight attendant for years before I was a mom and my husband is a pilot: we both agree that we bet it will not fit into an airplane seat even though it is stamped approved for airline use (not as backless booster). And we both double agree that toting that seat through the airport sounds awful.

Armrests are flimsy feeling. They don't really stay in place. I think if I would have purchased this from a brick and mortar real store I may have gone in to exchange or check out the other seats in stock to see if they were all like that. Maybe it's a booster seat arm rest thing... There is a retractable cup holder on each side. When my daughter is all harnessed up she can't really see or reach too well but she is little as far as the range for this seat and I am not concerned since we don't drink in the car much.

I think this should be one of the first reviews on this seat. I cannot find any anywhere. I rely on reviews when making purchases so I felt obligated to get some info out here into cyberspace. As I said we've just had it in for 2 days so I have no complaints yet and so far am impressed. We paid $254, no tax, no shipping at hipmonkey
