Tried others and came back to Britex! Love it!

Pros My daughter loves it! We've tried others and this is the best!
Cons The cup holders don't keep cups upright and only fit small cups.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  We've tried others and this is the best one! She can sleep comfortably and I love the safety rating and that she can keep it till she is 100lbs!
We bought a Britex Wizard for my daughter when she was born.  We read many reviews and felt that if we were going to spend money on anything, a car seat was a top priority.

She loved it from the beginning, but cried when she wanted to sleep.  After some investigation, we noticed it doesn't  have much padding on the bottom.  I just got a piece of 1/2 inch foam from the craft store and cut it to fit the bottom of the seat, under the seat cover.  That was all it took!  (We also looked at other car seats when we discovered this issue.  All car seats have almost no padding under your child)

When our daughter turned 5 and her sister turned 7 months it was time to let her sister have the seat.  Most kids would have been excited to get something new. This was NOT the case.  She loved her seat.  So, we let her pick any seat she wanted for a booster.  All was fine until she wanted to sleep. We went through seveal seats!  None would allow her to sleep comfortably.

That was when Britex first came out with the Frontier.  We were thrilled!  Yes, this seat was expensive, once again, but worth every penny.

Find a parent who's child can't sleep in the car seat because they keep falling forward.  Find a parent who is pulling their hair out because the straps twist on the car seat and they can not pull the straps tight.  All of those parent would pay way more than $250 to fix the problem!

I will say the straps are thinner than the straps on our Wizard, so they do twist a bit.  But, not as bad as I've seen other car seats.  The straps were recalled and the company was wonderful. They notified us and sent us a new set right away.  I also called them about the thickness of the straps and they sent me another set, thinking the new ones they are making are thicker.  I'm not sure this last part is true, but I really can't complain.  The customer service is wonderful!

Our daughter loves her seat!  she's tall for her age (6yr and 40").  The seat fits her very well!  She can get herself into and out of the seat and pull her straps tight.  This is a big plus!

Spills wipe up pretty well.  The straps don't stain so they always look great!

As for negative comments I really don't have any, when I compare my complaints to parents with other types of seats.  But, here is what I've noticed....

It isn't hard to install, you just really need to read the directions.  Don't out-think the seat!  Also, the bottom has a spring loaded riser that has to be in place if you are using the seat with all it's parts, not just as a booster.  It tends to spring back to the other position when you switch the seat to another car.  The cup holders only hold small size cups/bottles and they really don't keep drinks upright.
