Boulevard Barrington Convertible Car Seat

Britax is renowned for making top of the line safety seats for babies and children. I now see why! At six months old, we realized that our beloved son was becoming a monster of a child and had outgrown his carrier/infant seat. Being a first time mom, I took a lot into account when deciding on a brand to look at. Britax has been very consistent as far as safety ratings are concerned. This is a very heavy, very sturdy feeling seat. We used it rear-facing to begin with (until he was a year old) and then turned it around recently. I am surprised that this seat feels even more sturdy forward-facing! Britax has got a great selection of fabric patterns for this seat, but we chose the Barrington because of it's neutrality. This seat was expensive, but my child's safety is priceless. Also, this seat will work until he is 65 pounds, which (I hope) is a way off. The drawbacks to buying a sturdy seat like this are minor compared to the level of performance. I really didn't care for the way it fit in our Mazda 6 when it was rear-facing because my son's feet touched the back seat, and it was difficult to get him into the seat as well. With it forward-facing, however, this has been eliminated.
