Britax is worth spending money on
Pros
Safe, sturdy, solidly built; Seatbelts adjust easily; Easy to remove & install in car!
Cons
Pricey (but worth it!!!)
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
The Britax Boulevard is one of the best on the market. It's a little pricier than others, but worth the peace of mind!
The peace of mind I have with my 23 month old son in his Britax Boulevard carseat is priceless. While a little expensive, these carseats are sturdy, have all the bells and whistles you want with a carseat, are easy to move in and out of the car, and are easy to clean.
We keep ours in the middle of the back seat, so I always have to partially get into the car to buckle in my son, but this carseat makes the process pretty easy. The sides aren't too high, so it's easy to swing my son over and place him into the seat. The seatbelts are really easy to adjust. One knob on the side adjusts the height of the straps and there's an adjustment right beneath his feet, if I want to loosen or tighten the straps around his body.
One of the things we like best is how easy it is to remove and install into our car again. The clip hooks are easy to snap into the hooks in our car (even I can do it - and I always had to ask my husband to use his strength on earlier carseats!).
The seat itself isn't too heavy, so transferring it at the airport, or from car to car isn't hard.
If you're concerned about your car after removing the carseat, this can make indentations, so just buy one of those seat covers (sold for kids at stores like Target and Babies R Us) and slip it on the seat before placing the carseat it.
