The Bottom Line:
The best smoaker out there for the money
This is a remake of the original "Cook N Cajun" with different handles and the temp gauge relocated. They had to change the way it was made in the 80's because people were catching their wooden decks on fire with it! I bought my first "Cook N Cajun" In 1982 and used it for twelve years, and the real deal was no longer available. If you learn how to use this cooker it is great, put about five pounds of charcoal in the firepan and light it, when it is ready spread out and fill the pan on up. I prefer royal oak, but kingsford is fine, avoid low quality store brands and your fire will burn in the ideal range for 6 to 8 hours. Load up six five pound chickens then ignore it for three and a half to four hours, with a slight twist of the leg bone will pull right, and the meat will be juicy and tasty!
I see a lot of people complaining about the way the bottom pan and fire pan are designed, I don;t understand this, the design has worked excellant for me for nearly thirty years, ( during this time I have tried others and always been disapointed).
