BRINKMAN-A SURE THING!!
Pros
Smoking and grilling
Cons
Heavy to move
Recommended it?
Yes
The Brinkman Smoke 'n Grill has proved to be a valuable asset. We barbeque frequently especially in summer. Too hot to cook indoors. For the price, the grill is very sturdy. I was impressed by the thickness of the metal and the very heavy legs. The inside metal grill is also very heavy and hard-wearing.
This grill has a smoker which for us is a must as we eat lots of brisket and smoked turkey. The lids to the smoker and the grill have wooden handles, not metal which I always found to be a nuisance on some other grills, an easy way to burn yourself. The lids are also heavy which prove to be safe around kids as they are unable to lift them. There is plenty of access room to the smoker for easy placement of charcoal or wood, which we prefer to use. Clean up is easy. The easy empty ash compartment is located below the smoker and is easy to get at.
As far as cooking is concerned, if we are cooking something like brisket, it is an easy chore. Load the wood in the smoker, season the brisket and wrapped in foil the brisket will bake slowly for about 6 hours. The only care we have to take is stoking the smoker. It is also very handy to be able to use the grill compartment itself with charcoal for hamburgers, hotdogs and steak.
We have had this grill for about six months and use it often. When we first bought it we seasoned it heavily and it shows no sign of wear at all. This is my second Brinkman product and I am very happy with both of them.
