Leaks like hell
There's not much more to say. This blender's design is defective, in that it leaks copiously. Tonight was the last straw, as it dumped half a batch of corn soup onto the counter.

Great blender, especially for smoothies!
After having my Osterizer blender for 25 years, I wanted something that had alot more power, especially for making smoothies. I was all set to get either a Vitamix or BlendTec but thought I'd do a little more research first.

Computer glitch

Great if you don't mind leaks
Love the look and glass container. I've had a few times frozen fruit was still in chunks after using smoothie button, but I now turn it on liquify after the smoothie button and that solved problem. Have had MANY leaks with this. Read full review »

A signature piece. its good looks will get you s lot of compliments. But this piece can perform as well. It has five spped motor which makes, crushing, grinding and chopping a breeze. its jar is chip resistant and strong. It is slightly overpriced but its good looks and performance make up for that. Remanufactured Breville XXBBL600XL IKON Hemisphere Blender
The Breville IKON Die-Cast Hemisphere Blender is perfect for ice-crushing, blending and making your favorite smoothies or drinks. The patented hemisphere bowl blade system utilizes a large, semicircular shredding blade positioned to hug the uniquely shaped bowl. Because of this design, there are no still zones around the blades, and ingredients are shredded into fine, consistent particles. The 1.5 liter (51 oz.) glass jar is designed for clarity and to resist chipping and fogginess. The dual tone, baked enamel measurements provide for sharp viewing and accurate measurement. The control pad is designed without crevices for easy cleaning and gives you precise control over the motor's 750 watt, five speed settings and pulse function. It also features two special presets for ice crushing and smoothies and a blue backlit digital timer. All parts except the base are dishwasher safe.
