This album is not what i call the perfect Earth crisis album, but it is a good album to listen to if your a fan of the band. you really have to be a fan of this group to like what they are about. between songs of being vegan, and straight edge, and animal rights. but its heavy and its loud, what... wow, judging from this album, you'd never guess that Earth Crisis was good at one point (or at least on 1 or 2 albums). if you want to know what this album truely sounds like, think of boring, overused riffs and monotonous vocals mixed with wannabe-poetic lyrics and you have "Breed The Killers"... Earth Crisis - Breed The Killers - Cd

Personnel: Robb Flynn, Karl Buechner (vocals); Scott Crouse (guitar).Audio Mixers: Mike Tocci; Andy Sneap.Recording information: Pyramid Studios, Ithaca, NY.Though the term "metalcore" gets thrown around pretty liberally these days, Syracuse's staunchly animal rights-focused Earth Crisis were truly one of the most successful metal/hardcore fusionists. Their 1998 album, BREED THE KILLERS, represented a middle ground between the hotshot, groove-intensive heaviness of Pantera or Slayer and the righteous fury of late-'80s New York hardcore. Singer Karl Buechner's death-metal growl complements the band's steamrolling, incalculably heavy sound. Worthy of note, of course, are the lyrics, which lay down a militant and vegan agenda in no uncertain terms. However unsubtle, the message doesn't detract from the music.
