Breath of fire has always been one of my favorite games for the super Nintendo. Its an all time RPG lovers game. It has everything from gaining experience to buying new weapons, to gaining magic. The best part are all the cool characters you get when you play this game. One of my all time favorites. When I found out that it was coming out for the playstation I was very excited to play it.
Right when it hit stores I bought it. I started playing it 8 hours straight, and I couldn't stop. Someone would have had to hit me with something to get me off the game. I thought it was great. It was good old Breath of fire but in its best form by the playstation. The graphics were done up all different this time. It had a new look it was in 3d instead of the old standard view on the super Nintendo. All the new characters were really cool looking too. I loved the fishing mode where you could go out and take a break from fighting all those monsters. Collect a few fish and go sell them. Many cool options in this game made it its own style. One thing I like was collecting the different orbs that turned you into a dragon. You could collect all these different orbs that you find through out the game. When you use the orbs you turn your character into a dragon. Tons of different combinations to make. This means that you could turn your character into sick looking dragons. There are also toms of cool lands and areas to explore. I haven't beaten the game yet but am going to soon.
I give the graphics a Burning 10/10. It had a real colorful look to it and all the characters were done very good. I liked it the best turning into the dragons that just looked the coolest.
The music was good. A 8/10. It doesn't have that real magical sound like final fantasy has. Its more just the basic music that you would hear in any other RPG.
The gameplay was great. It kept me glued to the seat. A 10/10 for sure. All the different things that you could do in the game made it very fun. Not just doing the main journey that your set to do. You can go off and go fishing. I played that a lot and I think that was a big plus to the game.
Overall this is a great game to get. If your into RPGs then you will love this one. Lots of new things you can do in this game make it a fun journey that you will love to play again and again.
