This breadmaker will do all the hard work of preparing great bread dough for you and won't take long to pay for itself.
I received a Zojirushi bread machine as a wedding gift in 2000, but only really started to use it last year. The other day, the heating element died so I needed a replacement. Baking your own bread is just so much more economical than buying bread at the store.
I did some searching on the Internet and I quickly realized that I would need a more modestly priced bread maker than the one I had. The Breadman seemed to be a pretty solid #2 in the ratings, so when I found the TR520 on sale at K-Mart, I grabbed it.
The TR520 is one of Breadman's basic models and the loaf pan is nearly as high as it is wide, thus making loaves that are more vertical than some of the other more horizontal models. It does make up to a two pound loaf so on the dough cycle you can get two one pound loaves. It only makes bread, so if you want to use your breadmaker to make jam, this model isn't for you.
Through trial and error with my old bread machine, I found just the right quantity of ingredients to yield a nice elastic dough that wasn't too sticky to work with. I had read other reviews elsewhere on the Internet that suggested not using the recipes that come with the machine, so I just used the one I had perfected and the dough came out of the machine perfect and pliable.
The TR520 has a small footprint and should fit easily on any counter and the non-stick loaf pan is extremely easy to clean. I am very pleased with my new Breadman and would recommend it to anyone.
