The Bottom Line:
Stay away from this product. Once out of warranty they do not offer service and do not have service centres to handle warranty on a direct basis.
We bought our Breadman Ultimate Plus TR2500BC Breadmaker as an open box item on December 2, 2006. On February 18th, 2007 only 11 weeks later with 18 minutes left to bake the machine cleared, started buzzing and would not reset. I had to unplug it to stop the continuous buzzing sound.
I emailed their customer service and asked where I would take it to be repaired. I was not looking for warranty service. I loved the bread the machine made and just wanted to be able to have it fixed. From the date code info on the back of the machine they determined it was out of warranty and were unable to offer service on the unit. They informed me they do not have service centres to handle warranty on a direct basis.
Another review I read said that Breadman told them they do not have spare parts for their machines, and specifically that they were not in the machine repair business and to throw it out.
I notified Breadman that I will not be buying another Breadman since as soon as the warranty runs out, I can't even get it repaired and that I was going to post their reply online to warn other people that after the warranty expires they are screwed and hopefully they won't make the same mistake we did.
