I actually bought the 7505 which is the same hardware without the cleaning base (saves about $40).
I have used a Trac II and shave cream all my life. I reluctantly decided to try an electric, and fortunately picked the right one. This thing gets every bit as close as a razor, and no nicks or the inconvenience of razor shaving. Thus it eliminates scruffy days when one doesn't feel like shaving. I am converted. The batt. life beats any other. This is meticulous German craftsmanship. The mechanical design features are totally new for this razor: not only does the head pivot fore and aft to follow one's face, it also oscillates side to side. This, combined with the larger screen holes maximizes hair capture.
