my second shot at electric shaving
Pros
well built shaver, good close shave, comfortable grip, cleaning system cleans very well
Cons
expensive, cleaning system is bulky
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
cost factor aside, if you are looking for a good electric razor that performs better than your old razor go for the braun 7570, i highly recommend it.
my first experience with an electric shaver was about 10 years ago, i believe it was a remington shaver, not sure though. i remember it did not cut well and it would pull my hairs more than cutting them, a very painful experience. since then i never held an electric shaver to my face again.
recently, i felt i wanted a change in my shaving style. i was using a gilette mach 3. with a 12 pack of blades going for $20 and lasting me about a month and a half, close to $160 a year (not including shaving cream and band-aids :) ). i felt i need a better alternative.
i began my search on the web, researching opinions on epinions and going to manufacturers websites, deciding which would be better, round heads (norelco) or long heads (braun, remington), cord or cordless, matinence and cost in the long run. boy o boy, the choices of electric razors. i went mad.
i finally decided on the braun 7570 electric shaver. i got it for many reasons: style, brand recognition, cleaning system, lcd info screen on razor, low cost of replacement parts (cleaning solution and foil/cutters), cord and cordless operation, and the 2-year manufacturer warranty.
i enjoy my new shaver. i love the fact that i do not have to wet my face and use shaving cream to shave. many say that it takes time for your face to adjust to an electric shaver. i must be one of the lucky ones. my face never was irritated and was very comfortable since day one. i do not have to be in front of a mirror to shave. i now shave while watching tv and doing other things. the razor is a bit noisy, but so are other electric razors. i get a smooth, close shave just like my old mach3 razor, which is now collecting dust in the medicine cabinet :)
