The Bottom Line:
If you are in the market for an electric shaver, this one has all the bells and whistles, but more importantly delivers a fantastic shave each and everytime.
Hello all,
I also recently bought the Braun Synchro 7570 Electric Shaver after reading all of the positive reviews here on epinions.com. I was in the market for an electric shaver for one basic reason. Ingrown hairs. Not everyone gets them, but they can sure be a pain if you do. I am very picky about shaving, always attempting to get the closest shave possible everytime. This i have learned can cause ingrown hairs. I only get a few, but that's enough for me as they can be pretty painful. I went to the dermatologist and he suggested that i was shaving way to closely and it was causing some hairs to grow under my skin around my neckline area. He suggested an electric. I have used many electrics in the past. I had an a cheaper model Braun in high school (10 years ago) and a Philishave about 5 years ago that my parents bought me for Christmas one year. I didn't like either of them, so i was really skeptical about buying a new one, especially one as expensive as the Braun 7570.
When i finally bit the bullet and bought the 7570.. After reading the reviews i was actually looking forward to trying it... I wasn't disappointed, it gave me a very good shave. My skin isn't used to electrics, and the manual suggests that it could take up to 3 weeks for your skin to adjust to an electric razor, but i was really happy with the shave it gave me after the first charge, so happy that i was compelled to write my own review. It's true, its not as close as a regular razor, but it is darn good. Best I have ever seen. The cleaning base is neat also and works very well, but the cartridge cleaner refills are expensive. I will try and make mine last as long as possible by doing a quick cleanup of the shaver before i put it into the base for cleaning. I figure the less whiskers that are in the shaver, the less that will get into the cleaner base unit also hopefully making the cleaner solution last longer. When you look at how much Mach3 replacement razors cost, and how many you go through in a year, it makes the cost of the cleaner easier to swallow.
Overall, I am very happy with it, and if you are a person who like me never liked electrics, i suggest you try this one before you completely close the book on them. I feel if the 7570 lasts me 5 years, then the $229.00 CDN i paid for it will be money well spent.
