Braun Büffel Syncro 7570

Considering a razor is something that you spend at least 5-minutes a day with, every day of your life, spending about 2x as much for a new one may sound like a waste of money. Far from it! The new Braun is an awesome little gadget. It's fast, comfortable, and totally self-cleaning (You just pop it in the cleaning/charging tank 15 minutes (Automatic process) to clean it. But the tank may be the only weak spot. It's plastic, full of some type of denatured alcohol, and if it tips, it will ruin the surface of whatever it sits on. Plus, even if you don't use it, the whole thing evaporates over about 8 weeks, requiring a replacement tank be purchased (2 for $9.95 at Wal-Mart, so even that's not a big deal). Yes, it's expensive, but your face will thank you, everytime you use it. Updated information: I bought a second one, as a gift, once I found that CostCo carries these on their website (www.costco.com) for $137, plus shipping. This is $40 less than the department store prices. Please note that there are several different models of this razor, but all ship in the same basic box. The Braun 7570 has an LCD display, but it's the same basic unit at the lesser models. The only thing that the LCD display gives you are shave time (Boy, there's a feature you really need!), a graphic indication of battery life, the part number for ordering a new head (Again, why? The foil/head lasts, according to the manual, 18 months), and the final thing the display does is a "demo mode" where you see all three of these items scrolling by. But seriously, the razor is amazing. It's too bad that the store clerks don't know what they are selling. I asked them, point blank, what the difference was between the 7565 and the 7570 at Macy's, and their answer was classic: "The 7570 is $40 more?". :)
If you go to someplace else that sells Braun, like WalGreens, they know even less...But the product itself? It's still the most amazing shave I've ever had.
