BEST SHAVE YOU CAN GET. PERIOD.

The Bottom Line:
No brainer. If you want to use an electric shaver, this is it. Close, comfortable and fast. Can't ask for more than that.
I have tried virtually every shaving method out there today. The Braun Synchro line of shavers has now set a new standard for closeness, comfort, and speed.
1. I have owned every generation of Braun shavers for the last 15 years. This is far and away the best. I have also tried other electrics.
-Remington- not nearly as close as Braun. Not in the same league as Braun.
- Panasonic Linear - Very fast and extremely quiet motor. However, it cut my face to shreds, used both wet or dry. Couldn't figure this out, but each morning I looked like a blood donor. Returned this product per guarantee.
- Norelco - Weird. That circular motion caused my face to break out into some oozing rash that required several trips to the Dermatologist. Plus the shave was not close at all. Among the worst shaves I've ever had.
This new Braun shaves literally as close as a blade, is fast, and is relatively quiet compared to other brands and models.
2. Don't be afraid of the high initial cost. If you are price sensitive, buy the 7505 model. It's less than 100 bucks,and doesn't have the cleaning module or LCD readout. You'll have to clean it yourself. But I ask, what would you pay for the perfect shave? Most guys would say anything!!! Well, here's your chance to pay less than anything, and get an almost perfect shaving experience. The only perfect shaving experience in my opinion is not having to shave. This is the next best thing.
The cost of the cleaning cartridges is an issue, but I think it's a great luxury to have my shaver cleaned, sanitized and smelling lemony fresh. You're talking pennies per day. Life is short. I don't want to clean my shaver anymore. I'd rather have fun. Plus most guys know, you never really clean a darn shaver like you should anyway.
If you use a blade, figure in the cost of shave gel or cream, plus some blades like the gillette mach3 cost almost 2 dollars per blade, and are only good for 3-5 shaves. Ouch. That's expensive. You will see over time, this electric is not expensive. It's a deal.
3. Some complain the cleaning cycle is noisy. I must suppose they live in a library. Close the door then. Problem solved.
4. I have a very tough and heavy beard. Just thinking of shaving makes me bleed profusely. Any electric that can offer me a close shave, quickly and comfortably has to get top billing. One suggestion also is to use a pre-electric shave lotion like Williams 'lectric shave. But buy a generic version. They are all the same! They do lubricate your skin and make the beard stand up for a closer and irritation free shave. Consider this a must. It's cheap stuff, like about 2 bucks a bottle.
If you want to use an electric, think no further, this is the one. It may take you several days to adjust to any new shaving method, but use this shaver with a pre-electric shave lotion, and your face will be smooth with no nicks or cuts.
