The Bottom Line:
Overall, this is a great purchase if you want a quality razor to use as a time-saving device.

In summary, the Braun 7570 is a good time-saving device when it comes to shaving. Typically, if I shave with a traditional razor and shaving cream, it takes me about five minutes. If I use my Braun electric shaver, I'm done in two minutes or less. That's the main upside; the downside is that my skin usually feels quite irritated and requires an aftershave balm (which adds to the cost of using it), and the shave is not particularly close, especially on the neck area.
EASE OF USE: Good. The shaver is light but not too much so, and fits nicely in the hand. The self-cleaning feature is great, although you do have to spend about $5-10 per month on a new cleaning solution cartridge.
BATTERY LIFE: Very good. It lasts a long time and recharges in one hour.
CLOSENESS OF SHAVE: Fair. On the upper lip, chin, and cheek area, the razor does a pretty good job. However, underneath the chin, especially on the neck, it is miserably inadequate. It's fine if nobody is really going to notice (it does cut away some hair, obviously), but if you need a clean-shaven look, then a wet-shave is a must. I think the reason behind this is the way the razor cuts hairs: they go into the holes cut in the foil, and are then cut by the razor unit inside. Seems inefficient.
ELECTRONIC FEATURES: The LCD display will tell you useful things like how much battery time is left, how much longer it will be until the cleaning and/or charging is finished, if the blades need oiling, etc., yet it also displays seemingly useless information like how long your last shave was. A neat enough feature, I suppose, but I would recommend going with a cheaper model which does not have the LCD screen.
PRICE: Reasonable enough, although definitely on the pricey side considering the fact that it is not the "be all end all" of shaves.
RELIABILITY: So far, so good, and I've had it for a year.
OTHER COMMENTS: It's a bit noisy, and tends to get quite hot, which I think contributes to skin irritation.
