Best shaver EVER

Self Cleaning Unit, Close shave, quick charging
Cons
Price, a little noisy, cleaning stand is HUGE!

The Bottom Line:
If you can scrape up the cash, it's worth EVERY penny. If not, Wal-Mart has a less expensive model (not Syncro) with the self-cleaning feature for $99.
I'm not one to get too excited over a razor. For me, as long as it cuts the hair it's good enough.
After doing battle with regular blades I got fed up with the mess and looking like something from a bad Sci-Fi movie with all the nicks and cuts. So I started out with an electric, a Remmington, but after a drop in the floor rendered it useless I swore them off. (It wasn't a high drop either) Switched to a Norelco Lift & Cut model and while it performed OK, it did leave me a little sore in the neck. Also, never seemed to get that good of a shave - it was OK for a day, but towards the afternoon 5:00 shadow was setting in. It was an OK razor, but not the best and it did a number on your face, especially if you had more than a day of growth (OUCH!)
Then, after a freak cleaning accident that sent the Norelco head assembly down the toilet (I clean it over the toilet and then flush...This time it fell in.) and the INSANE price for a head ($20 for the plastic, $25 for the blades, $10 for the plastic retainer + shipping) I could buy a new razor....
I had an idea I wanted one of the Braun self cleaning models - it's a very convinent thing - pop it in the cleaner and bam, you have a clean razor. So, I headed to Wal-Mart and looked at the models - settled on the 7526 - more powerful motor, Syncro system, AND free battery operated Oral-B toothbrush. What more could you want?
This morning, I tried it for the first time, and it is the BEST SHAVER EVER. I couldn't beleive how close it was and how my skin never felt irritated or had razor burn!!! No beat-up face.
It easily got hairs that my old Norelco missed. The only thing was it's a little noisy and makes some weird noises when it gets hairs, but at least you know its working!
When I was done I just popped it in the cleaning stand and when I was done showering and getting dressed it was ready for use again. I'll see how it smells and looks tomorrow.
Bottom line is it's worth every penny - gives you a great shave and is easy to take care of! It's a little pricey, but well worth it.
