The things girls do to have smooth legs...

bymikesr Aug 27, 2008
Pros Very smooth legs. Hairs come in slower and finer.
Cons OUCH! Takes a long time to use.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Will help keep your legs smoother longer as part of an overall hair removal system.
I should start by saying that I have very sensitive skin and very thick hair. So the ouch factor is likely higher for me than for most others out there. But I started using this device after a few years of getting waxed.

This review is going to focus on the ouch factor more than anything else. Others have told you about the features and they are all pretty good. I especially love the light on the switch, which lets you see what you are doing, as the device itself would otherwise make your work area very dark. Otherwise, the features are pretty standard.

Waxing hurts, we know this. But over time, it hurts less. Becomes more a sting than an all out ouch. This hurts more, but you control it. It also has two settings. The first the tweezers move slower - this hurts less. It hurts more when the tweezers move faster. Eventually you will move onto the faster setting... but that does not make it much faster to use this device.

And this is the main problem with this other than shaving or getting waxed. With shaving, you get fast results but must do it often and the hairs grow back thicker - the cost, in my opinions outweighs the benefits - but for a quick fix, it is the best solution out there. Getting Waxed doesn't take long and someone else does it for you, the hairs grow back slower and come in finer but there is a high financial cost - this is my favorite solution but takes the most time/money. This device is somewhere in the middle - the benefits are that like waxing the hairs will come in finer and slower and your legs will be very very smooth (much nicer than shaving). But the ouch factor is the highest (although you will get used to it eventually) and worst of all is, even at the faster setting, it takes a very long time to remove all the hairs.

I generally will use it while watching tv or something and even if i don't get around to getting all the hairs - i at least get enough so that the shaving doesn't have the effect of making my legs stubbly.

So, this device really is something to use as a part of an overall system - it will never get the work done every time, plus it is just boring and tiring to use.

Also, you can't use it on your underarms and bikini area.

So, I do recommend it - it works brilliantly - but it will not be your only hair removal procedure.

Oh, and yes, there are also creams to use to remove hair - but like I said, I have sensitive skin, and those make me break out - but in comparing - waxing and this device last longer and get ones legs smoother.
