Don't Waste Your Money

We purchased this blender based on reviews on line and in "a major consumer" magazine. After using the blender less than 10 times, it died.
Braun insisted that we bring it to a repair shop. After the second trip to the repair shop (they didn't fix the problem the first time), the repair shop indicated that Braun was sending a new unit. After waiting months for the replacement unit, we called Braun directly asking where our blender was.
For 3 weeks Braun indicated that the unit was "in the mail." When pushed to provide a tracking number, Braun finally confessed that they did not ship it - - and that they don't know when they will ship it (has Braun discontinued it?).
Bottom Line: Not only did the thing break almost immediately, Braun does not support their products. If you are looking for a blender to make "smoothies" spend some real money and buy a better quality product.
