Braun PowerMax MX 2050 5-Speed Blender

I've had 2 of these blenders (2nd was a replacement). Same problems with both. The teeth break on the bottom of the blade mechanism, and worse, the gear in the base that is supposed to turn the blades, slips. Same blenders, same exact problems. I contacted a repair facility, and they sent me a replacement blender, and also said Braun realized there were some design flaws with this model. I recommended they replace the plastic parts that wore out almost immediately with metal replacements so I wouldn't have to throw the blender away. No luck with that. Repairs would cost more than the blender. Mine were a total waste of money. If you've had good luck with yours, great. I cannot recommend this blender.
