The dentist will note if you use this brush

Pros Really cleans your teeth. The dentist will notice
Cons Replacement heads may be hard to find.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  The Braun is a fine appliance for good dental care and cleans teeth and removes plaque better than a manual brush can.
Oral-B's Power Toothbrush is a pulsating brush that works on a charged battery. Advertised to make 40,000 pulsations per minute and 8,800 oscillations per minute to churn off grime and plaque, your dentist might, as mine did, note in your file that you use this brush.

Features
Ergonomic handle
Pressure sensor that stops pulsing if too much pressure is applied
Tower design charger with compartment for up to 4 toothbrush heads.
Long-lasting battery that holds 11 days worth of charge.
1-year limited warranty.
2 minute warning--pulses break intermittently at 2 minutes to tell you you've brushed long enough.
Heads come in regular and ultra-soft, have color rings to identify family member brush heads, if you share a unit.

How to Use the Brush
To use the brush, after it is fully charged the first time, simple apply a small amount of your toothpaste of choice and press the on button (a rubber-coated membrane button on the front.) The brush will oscillate and pulse, so stick it right in your mouth and start moving over your teeth.

Try to have a scheme of brushing; top left to top right, then to the inside surfaces of the top. Angle at the gum line to get the line of plaque that forms there. Then do the bottom, left to right outside, then inside.

Keep brushing until the unit tells you 2 minutes are up (pulses intermittently.) Rinse off the head. If you are sharing a unit with the family, remove your brush-head, with its color-coded ring and place in the tower. Wipe around the brush with a washcloth to remove foam that drips down.
After you use this brush, you are sure to notice that your teeth feel almost dentist-visit clean. If you pay attention to where plaque gathers (base of molars, back of teeth) you can avoid a lot of build-up between dentist visits.

Naturally, you will want to floss and possibly use mouthwash after you brush. If you have the problem of heavy tartar formation (smoke, sleep with mouth open, allergies) then this might avoid the more than twice a year cleaning some people seem to require. Try it and see if you fall into that category.

Downsides and considerations
The heads of the brushes are disposable and need to be changed when the brush fibers show faded color (they start out blue and end up pale.) But they can be hard to find in your local drugstore, and they are not inexpensive. Ordering online seems to be necessary for me, as my local drugstore chain, practically the only chain in the state, does not carry these brushes. And the cheap imitation knock-off brushes don't fit. At least the ones that were advertised to fit that I found sure didn't fit at all.

If you have ultra-tender gums and sensitive teeth, this may be too strong for your liking. You can buy softer heads on the brushes (Ultra-soft) with longer bristles for cleaning well between teeth. They are about $20 for three brushes online.

Two things of note: as you brush, the foam can drip down and make a brown stain on the tower (I store it, unplugged, on the tower charger between uses) and around the neck of the brush. You should take a washcloth and clean the neck and the base regularly or it gets disgusting-looking.

Secondly, the battery is best used by running down between charges, meaning that the end of the 2 weeks, your brush will be a bit weaker than when fully charged. Some people reported to me that keeping the brush on the charger at all times led to eventual failure of the battery. This is the info they got when they called the factory for a warranty replacement.

Overall Impression
I haven't been able to go back to using a regular brush since I've used the Braun. The tartar is definitely reduced on my teeth, and dentist visits for cleaning seem to take a lot less time than in the past. I have a travel case for the brush, because I can't even leave home without it. I try to brush after coffee to keep stains down. Seems to work. I think this brush is a real advance in dental care, and I'm a big fan of it.
