I've been quite pleased with this little mixer. It's one of those products is packaged with different attachments and you need to shop around to find all your options. I looked in several stores and found Macy's carrying this package which includes:
- the blender
- beaker with lid
- wire whisk attachment
- small chopper attachment
- wall attachment
I find this is great for mixing powdered drinks, such as protein shakes. It's hard to get these types of drinks thoroughly mixed by hand and pulling out the big blender for one drink is not worth it. The beaker is convenient because it serves as a mixing bowl and a drinking glass. The beaker has measurements marked on the side so I know if I've added the right amount of liquid and its lid snaps on snugly so I can take it in the car and not worry about spilling. This is great when I'm in a hurry in the morning and need a quick breakfast.
I've found the blender to be strong enough to handle thick milk shakes and other drinks with fruit thrown in. The whisk works well on things such as pudding or pancake mix.
A chopper isn't something I use frequently but I did try it out and it worked quite nicely.
Of all the accessories, the beaker is the most useful. It depends on the types of things you make to determine whether the whisk and chopper are necessary. I found this set on sale so it cost the same as the package with just the blender and beaker.
Other benefits of this mixer is that clean up is a snap and it doesn't take a lot of storage space.
