Good basic inexpensive razor, not the closest shave.
I have been using this for only one week so I may have a different opinion later after a while esp if the foil wears out quickly like it has for others here.

Fair
Having bought it on sale for $20, I wasn't expecting too much from this razor. I oscillate between a beard and a goatee, so I purchased it mainly due to the price, the second cutter for edge work, and to deal with my yeti-neck.
It's not the best razor I've ever owned and requires several passes...

Less than perfect... less than useful
It retails for about $30. That may seem like a good price, but after you use if a few times, you realize that "you get what you pay for." Avoid this shaver like the plague. Although the Braun name means quality, this shaver does not deserve the name. Read full review »
Decent Shaver but a "No"
I've had this shaver for about a year. Shaves decently except for one area of the front of my neck that I have to spend an inordinate amount of time to cut five-ten hairs that kinda grow against the grain a little I guess. Shaver parts
I bought this shaver in December, 2003 (last year). The foil has torn, January, 2004. The shaver is not abused, the protective guard is on when the shaver isn't being used. Must be using a different razor
hi
my last razor was a Norelco..it irritated my neck the first time i used it..a year later same thing with a lousy shave..
This little Braun gives a really good close shave.....i really don't see how it got such lousey reviews...neck hairs are a snap.

As I think some others have said
the razor is adequate, but does not give a close shave, unless you clean it after basically every shave, and even then it's not great. Cleaning it is a pain, as the brush simply can't get all the clippings out of the razor.
