For the money, a good shaver.

Pros Good. Convenient. Cheap. Easy to take on a trip.
Cons Foils tend to tear. The cleaning brush is insufficient for the job.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Buy this razor if you can spend some time to shave. It will save you some money.
I have owned two of these shavers over the years, and compared to the other electric shavers (Norelco and other low-cost Brauns), this is the best shaver I have ever owned. I have a medical condition that as a side effect, causes very stiff facial hair, so I need a good razor!

I bought my first one out of necessity...the battery in my old Braun had given up(wouldn't keep a charge), and I needed an electric shaver since I tend to really cut myself up with straightedge razors alone. So I got the Braun Interface at a local convenience store. The first one lasted well over 3 years before it was destroyed (crushed). I went right back out and got another one, and it still serves me well. So I am quite happy with it.

Perhaps it is just me, but I have found that this razor gives a very good shave for the price. Certainly it is not the closest out there, but it is also not the most expensive. It is true that you have to plan your shave pretty well, but that is true for almost any electric shaver in this price category.

For a very close shave I would shave off as much as I could with the Braun then follow up with a few strokes of a good straightedge razor (Mach 3). I also clean the cutterblock religiously; the razor seems to cut closer when the cutterblock is cleaned out.

There are two things that I don't like about it: First of all, the brush supplied to clean the cutterblock is not good enough...it doesn't get into all the crevices. Secondly, the foils tend to tear rather easily...but then again, a thin foil will give you a closer shave.

If you have some time to shave and you don't want to drop a load of cash on a razor that you have to pay just to maintain, this is a good razor to get.
