Braun HT 600 2-Slice Toaster

If you like a narrow toaster to push back against the wall this is it! Its stainless steel minimalist body looks nice left out and the surface stays fairly cool to touch (but don't test this as the finish shows finger prints easily). The cord's extra length wraps up underneath the base. It is simple to operate with a numbered browning dial and only 3 button options: frozen, reheat, and STOP. The push lever has the all-important extra-lift feature that so many toasters lack! It is also very quiet in all its operations (the lift is actually too quiet, but fortunately there is a bright red light that goes out so when you look over, you know the toast is done). The single slot handles thin 1/4" to thick 1 1/4" well and toasts evenly so far even though it seems a bit slower than our old toaster. Paid $54 which for this build quality and stainless steel seems a bargain.
