Don't waste your money!
I've received a total of three, yes three, KF 400 coffee makers, all of which had defects of some sort. Quite honestly, if it cost Braun $5 to make, they paid too much! It's cheaply made, parts don't fit right, the coffee basket swings out when the carafe is removed to pour, yada, yada, yada.

i bought this after a favorable review on the internet. i am very unhappy with it. 1.you have to fold down the paoer #4 filter to makeit fit.secondly the swing out filter tray is hard to get back in once removed. the coffee was ok, but not terrific. the machine, while inexpensive, is flimzy... I own 3 Aromaster coffee makers - work, home and a vacation home. They have been in use for 5 to 10 years and work perfectly. Disappointed
I purchased this based on Consumer Reports' top rating. Within a few weeks, the auto-drip-stop broke and the mechanism that locks the swing basket in place also broke. I was very disappointed with this product. However, when it did work, it made a good cup of coffee and it was relatively cheap. Read full review »
