Ford Focus Hatchback 2002.

Focus for the New Century.

At first glance looking at the front end of the Ford Focus Hatchback looks like a regular Ford vehicle but as you proceed to look at the rest of the Focus, you will notice it has a very particular look.

The Focus... Read full review »

Better than a huge SUV, great little car!

Pros Great handling, comfortable ride, great kid car.
Cons Mine had faulty fuel pump. Gas mileage not as advertised.
Recommended it? Yes

I opted for the Focus over a Subaru Legacy (over $20K with safety features I wanted) and the Toyota Matrix (tiny rear windshield, small cargo). I went for ALL the bells and whistles as a consolation and am enjoying the sunroof, the leather, the nimbleness and the overall ride. As I had to... Read full review »

Love the car, but ruined by typical Ford of America poor quality

Pros Great handling, good to great engine in ZTS and SVT, well designed
Cons Either poor engineering or quality control on American version of the car, not European...
Recommended it? Yes

My wife and I, age 39, both love the car. It is her all-time favorite. The design of the car is great and is perhaps the only American car that can compete with European and Japanese designed cars. This probably reflects that it was born out of Ford of Europe, not Detroit. We have had a Sentra,... Read full review »

I own a 2002 ford focus zts. Its a good little car, I stress little. I have had it for 7 months. The focus gets good gas millage, it runs very well, its a quiet car havent had any problems with it.

The focus zts has good pick up and go, it just zooms around, gets in tight places. The car... Read full review »

Pros roomy, visibility, reliable,
Cons gas mileage, price, cheap interior, break dust sickening
Recommended it? No

We are a bit disappointed in this car. First I am a bit surprised on how well every one rates this car on mileage. Our car is a 4 cylinder and it gets terrible mileage for a 4 cylinder. Better than a lot on the road, but not as it should for most in the same engine class.

Also it is a... Read full review »

depends what you're looking for

Pros cheap car, small - can fit into tight spaces, uses regular gas
Cons acceleration sucks, gas mileage could be better, no features
Recommended it? No

I drove this car when my car (an Audi A6) was in the shop. I drove it from PA to DC for the weekend and I sort of regret the decision. It doesn't accelerate above 55 mph on mountainous roads. The gas tank is small and the gas mileage should be better considering that there are virtually no "extras"... Read full review »

Nothing but pleased with the ZX3

Pros Great handling, decent power, great value
Cons Fit and finish is lacking in some areas.
Recommended it? Yes

I have always been a car enthusiast. I do not like owning or driving boring vehicles. The good news is that exciting does not always equal expensive.

In July 2002, I purchased a 2002 Focus ZX3 with air conditioning as the only option. The 2002 ZX3 includes the following standard features:... Read full review »

Pros Design Space Unexpected features. Doesn't feel cheap. Its a LEV
Cons Front seat cushions are very short. Could use more power. Couldn't find a manual ZTW.

I used to own a 2001 Mustang convertible but had a terrible experience with the dealership (not the car) and fortunately got them to buy the car back (it was THAT bad, I might review this experience in the Mustang section).
I decided to give Ford a second chance and since in the meantime I had... Read full review »

Not the best car I've owned

Pros Cheap, alot of rebate money available
Cons hard to sell, no horsepower, mine eats gas like there's no tomorrow
Recommended it? No

I bought this car because on July 3rd an idiot driver ran into the back of my VW Turbo Beetle, caused me to crash, and the car was declared totaled shortly there after. So not being prepared to go buy another Turbo Beetle, I had to either walk or find a cheap car and that's where my new Focus came... Read full review »
