Decent Sound for a Clock Radio

Was given a Bose CD/Radio for Christmas. It has adequate sound, nothing more. Voice broadcasts are mediocre, an individual instrument such as a piano sounds piercing but OK. A big band or a symphony are more than it can handle. When I discovered how much it cost, I was dumbfounded. The thing doesn't even have bass or treble knobs to adjust the sound!! I'm glad it was a gift. If you have any ear for music at all, you can get a lot more in the market place for $499 than this has to offer.
