A PRIME EXAMPLE OF HYPE OVER SUBSTANCE

Pros You can brag about the $500 you spent on a plastic radio.
Cons You can brag about the $500 you spent on a plastic radio.
Recommended it? No
The marketing folks at Bose astutely learned some time ago that Hype over substance prevails. This was a lesson Sony learned the hard way when they failed to promote the then vastly superior Betamax format. JVC set the way for hucksters in all flavors. This plastic megaphone like radio delivers extremely inaccurate music reproduction, probably most popular with the tone deaf and those that were actually snookered into paying the hefty price and now feel compelled to justify their foolishness. Bose typically uses some of the cheapest components available and then spends big bucks using celebrities and ever present infomercials to bring in the suckers. When will folks learn infomercials are rarely necessary to sell honest products? Apparently no time soon. Save your money and purchase some Herbie Hancock recordings and listen to them on a decent hi-fi system. As a past recording studio designer, I am writing this review as a person who actually does understand the understand the technical aspects and this product defies them!
