Bose's Big Mistake

Interesting center speaker
Here's a real-life dilemma: Let's say you've got two pair of old speakers -- they might even be Bose -- and you want to fold them into a five-channel surround system. Dialogue is good... but it has problems...
The VCS-10, a stylish, compact loudspeaker designed to sit on top or below your TV to offer a rich vocal sound from the center.
That's exactly the problem. It's a little too tuned to vocals, therefore it's range is highly limited.
It has a crisp sound, but it feels weak in power...

Better sound through Marketing is what some people say about the products from Bose. Just be careful who you listen to about speakers. ultimate experience
Before buying my bose vcs 10 speaker I did quite a bit of searching for the best sound and performance. I had previously purchased the bose 10.2 speakers which I still own to this day and now realize and know what home theatre, high surround sound quality can really sound like. I will purchase none... Not one of Mr Bose's best

A huge mistake!

Don't make my mistake...
I have a set of Bose's Acoustimass Cube speakers (5.1) which I have been pretty happy with, they sound fine and I don't really have space for full-size speakers. Anyway, I just picked up the VCS-10 today because I wanted to upgrade to a 6.1 system. I have to say I am pretty disappointed.
