Pros Nice looking system
Cons Severely lacking sonically
Recommended it? No

I have heard various acoustimass products over the years, but never had the ability to test drive them in my own home until recently.

My own home cinema / hi-fi system developed an annoying hum in the sub woofer, so knowing how much it is possible to pay for a sub, I decided to buy a... Read full review »

Blows the doors off most if not all similar product!

Pros Sound, looks, directional cubes and Bose quality.
Cons User needs to spend some time tweaking their receiver's to match with this system...
Recommended it? Yes

Being a DJ, I am used to kick butt Peavey S10s and Yorkville Sub. These babies are fabulous provided that you have a sense of how to make your receiver work with them. More often than not, end users have little knowledge as to how to set up a 5.1 system and are ill equiped to set up their receivers... Read full review »

Pros -acceptable bass within bandpass limits. -bass module works with any Bose cube or other...
Cons -No true LFE input. -bass is placement dependent. -still no bang for the buck.
Recommended it? No

Note: Here's the ongoing review of the Bose system I assembled, using the dual-cubes of the AM10 series I, which sound the same as series II cubes, and most likely, Jewel cubes as well. The bass module is different in this review, just so you know. Let's get started!

I had the AM10 system... Read full review »

Pros Great sound. Very elegant.
Cons Hard to get it repaired. No one from Bose Canada cares to return your calls.
Recommended it? Yes

I have had the Bose system for three weeks and found a buzzing sound comming from the bass unit. I thought it was an internal fan but when I borrowed my friends unit to test it out I found that there was something wrong with mine. I sent mine out via The Brick Warehouse and they stated that the... Read full review »

Pros Excellent quality of both CD and home theater. Rich, deep, full Bass.
Cons The Receiver must be tuned properly to get the sophisticated result.
Recommended it? Yes

I read some poor reviews about this system by some reviewers. My experience with the Bose Acoustimass 15 II series was quite different. This is the best sound system for both home theater and CD I have heard so far. THIS SYSTEM MUST BE TUNED PROPERLY WITH A GOOD RECEIVER TO GET "OUT... Read full review »

I have read and written many reviews on all BOSE. Yes, some of their gear was good a long time ago. But please! Listen to other systems on the market. The sound quality form A15 did sound ok when first set up, after a few hours and many CDs later I could hear just how bad this thing is. I later... Read full review »

Cons Bass cuts out at low volume.

I moved into a new home and simply did not have the room in my new family room to accomodate my former surround sound system which was a Sony setup. Rather than buy a Sony package, I chose each speaker individually and was very happy with the overall performance but it was too large. Sony offered a... Read full review »

Pros Cute little boxes.
Cons Very poor balance; "One-note" boomy bass

This is my second review of the Bose speakers. The feedback I received on my first review made it clear that I needed to provide more specific details on why I think Bose offers such little value. Fair enough. Let me first say, however, that based on my experience in speaker sales, one of the... Read full review »

A-plus looks, A-minus to B-plus sound

Pros Aesthetically pleasing, nice sound for music, excellent sound for movies
Cons Mid-range sound is thin compared to bigger box offerings

First of all, the reason I didn't buy the Klipsch reference speakers was that my wife wouldn't let me. She claimed that she didn't want to live in a college bachelor pad where she was looking at giant speakers all the time. In retrospect, I have to grudgingly agree with her wisdom because the Bose... I work as an audio salesperson at a very large electronics store in my area. Working in this area has given me the opportunity to talk with different people and determine what they think about Bose and many other sound systems.

The Bose namesake is entrained in so many people's brains as... Read full review »

The Bose Acoustimass 15 speaker system is a decent sounding system overall. In the beginning of the listening stages it seems to sound wow this is a really great system. Pros Its the only multipurpose speaker available from home theater speaker line-up
Cons price

It's so wondering why a so called Audiophile still buy and listen to BOSE AM-15, while after hearing it, all they do is try to dis-mantle it and examine its material, did they bought it for their personal laboratory test or for listening pleasure? Or maybe they just want to know what's the secret... Read full review »

Evaluate BOSE for How it 'Sounds', Not How it 'Seems'

Pros Great imaging, good sound, inconspicuous speakers; a good choice for home theater
Cons Expensive; ill-suited for certain listening environments; require pricey stands or mounts
Recommended it? Yes

The emergence of the home theater system has directed legions of non-audiophiles toward a market that was formerly the exclusive domain of the audiophile.

If you consider yourself among the former, then your opinion of BOSE probably begins and ends with their 901 speakers, and you most... Read full review »

This is a story of a naive person:

Pros Sounds Great, Small Speakers
Cons Expensive, Ceiling brackets cost extra.

I am not really going to discuss the performance of these speakers, other than to say that they are great and I love them. But do not take my recommendation and run right out and buy them. I strongly recommend comparing these speakers to any other speakers in the store. Once you have done this, you... Read full review »

Pros Great sound, excellent frequency response
Cons In an uncarpetted room, the sound can lack warmth

There seems to be a love hate relationship between a lot of people and Bose. Because of this it took me over a year to finally buy them and I am very pleased with them.

It would seem to me that many people just hate Bose for no good technical reason. Most of the reviews of people who have... Read full review »

Bose Acoustimass 15 v. Polk RM7500

Pros Small, good-looking system blends in to the decor rather than dominating it.
Cons Sound quality for music was disappointing. Overall, the system is a bit overpriced.

I am a complete novice when it comes to audio components, but I will try and be as helpful as I can regarding my experience with this product.

I bought the Bose system from Crutchfield for about $1200.00 along with the Polk RM7500 system so that I could try each of them and keep the one I... Read full review »

By the title you can see that I did not want to spend the money on these speakers. A speaker is a speaker in my opinion. HA!
