Bose speakers
Arthur: I have been sampling the Bose systems for years. I was on vacation last year and I found a Bose store. I went in and they were giving presentation on Bose systems. I said one day I will buy me a system. My wife took me to Sam's to by bags of Broccoli. I saw a Bose... Read full review »
more expensive does not automatically = better quality
Let me preface this review by saying that I have been a hard core Bose fan for a long time. I have Bose in every room and even narrowed my car search to cars that had Bose stereo systems. Recently however the bubble has burst a little bit. I had this Acoustimass system for 5 years and thought it... Read full review »
Poor value by any measure.
I learned very quickly that the people that love Bose have no experience at all in listening to different speakers or listening to live music.
Most Bose owners that love them either upgraded from a clock radio or never heard anything but Bose.
I asked every person that sold Bose...

Bose. An everyday hero.
Before I bought my Bose speakers, I had big KLH speakers for the front, coupled with AudioSource indoor/outdoor speakers for the rear and small KLH speakers for my center channel and a Yamaha subwoofer. At the time I had collected all of these speakers they were all right, in fact, I thought they... Read full review »
awful sound quality
Very bad speakers. Voices, especially deep ones, get cut off in the bass module, and don't make it to the center. Satellites are not integrated well with the bass module. There's a large frequency gap between the satellites and bass module. Tinny, shallow highs, muddy bass. Do not buy this system Read full review »
Tiny speakers = HUGE sound! Bose Acoustimass
While putting together my home theater system that I had already spent quite a bit on, I still needed a decent speaker system . I went to the store to see what was available, and that is where I and decided on purchasing the Bose Acoustimass 6 III System. It really wasn't a hard decision to make... Read full review »

Excellent choice for small area
I purchased the Bose Acoustimass 6 Series III system last fall for use in my family room. I originally purchased the Cambridge Sound Works MovieWorks 208 Home Theater Speaker System, but when I unpacked everything, I realized that the components were too large for use in my viewing area, which is... Sounded great in store, weak at home
I bought these to pair with a Harman Kardon AVR-335 (see my review for this receiver). It was actually my wife who was attracted to these as I was looking at cheaper systems.
Not one to complain when my wife wanted to step up, we bought the Bose. In the store, at close range, these things...

A Rather big dissapointment
I used to think that bose was one of the best audio brands. So when my brother bought his acousitmass set, i was expecting quite a bit. I found though, that i couldn't even sit through a single movie on this system. I was also surprised by the lack of bass and the treble had this ungodly graininess... Read full review »
AWESOME
This is simply ans awesome system, it delivers sound that is like being in a live concert, AWESOME is the word Read full review »
A Good System for a Medium Sized Home
Bose Acoustimass basically comes in two versions. One is Acoustimass 6 and another is Acoustimass 10. Unlike Acoustimass 10, Acoustimass 6 has only the direct speakers and not the refecting ones.
If your house is not as big as best buy, then I would advise you to go in for Acoustimass 6...

Jaw dropping?
I remember it well, it was the late 80's, I was 19 years old, I had a good job and I wanted to spend my hard earned cash on a decent set of speakers. I had recently bought a top of the range Pioneer stacking system which I loved, but hated the massive lumps of laminated chipboard which Pioneer... Read full review »
Bye bye theatres, hello Bose!!
I am a huge movie fan and love to go see them at the theatre. Big screen, great sound, the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Problems, they are getting more and more expensive to go see, you can't pause the movie, and most theatres aren't as comphy or clean as my house. Solution, THESE SPEAKERS! HOLY... Read full review »
A Bose disappointment
Nice and compact, but does not deliver what Bose users are accustomed to. The Subwoofer is not powered and there is no adjustment for bass level other than on your receiver. This makes the bass effect minimal and this system a poor performer for those looking for theater sound. The single cubes... Read full review »
Unbelievable Sound from small speakers
I had been using Polks for my surround, they where book shelf speakers and while they sound ok they where bulky in the back as well as in the front i was searching for a sattelite speaker system and would look at places like HH Gregg or CC and everyone would try and turn you away from the Bose... Good Wife-friendly speakers
As a home theater nut with kids, eventually you need things up and out of the way. After the toddlers pushed in the cones of my "real" speakers and filled the subwoofer ports with Power Rangers, I opted for the AM-6 in WHITE.
Mounted to the walls using the Bose brackets ($19 each on eBay,...

Great Sound from a Small Enclosure
First of all, I was very reluctant to spend 600.00 for a speaker system after all I am not an audiophile and savings is more important than sound but after bringing these speakers home and giving them a listen, I have changed my tune entirely. These speakers are a "dream" (Sorry Sony, No pun... Read full review »
Bose Amazes me with these little cubes!
To start, I?ll have you know that I have owned about 10 different surround sound systems in the last 9 years. Some of the brands to name a few are Harmon Kardon, Cerwin Vega, Polk, and Kenwood. Etc. To this date, I have never heard better sound then I have with these little cubes (except perhaps... Read full review »
ACOUSTIMASS 6 IS A SMALL WONDER GEM.
If you want to hear nice music and great surround for movies, then this is the system for you. First thing that took me with this system is the size. You can place these small speakers anywhere, with room to spare. The subwoofer is a passive system so that all the wire run from the center, l/r... Read full review »
