Bose Acoustimass 6 Series III Speaker System

If you want to hear nice music and great surround for movies, then this is the system for you. First thing that took me with this system is the size. You can place these small speakers anywhere, with room to spare. The subwoofer is a passive system so that all the wire run from the center, l/r main, l/r surround speakers to the subwoofer and from the subwoofer to the a/v receiver. THE POWER FOR THE ACOUSTIMASS 6 COMES FROM THE A/V RECEIVER. Let's talk about the music and movie side of it. I have a yamaha V620 a/v receiver 100w x5 and with the acoustimass 6 hooked up, WOW!! The music sound is as clear as they come and since the are rated 100w each, I can turn the speakers all the way up and not miss a beat. On the movie side, I'm pleased the way it handles the surround sound. Put in twister and BOOM!! I already have pro studio tower speaker and I added the acoustimass 6 to my mains and it rocks. Here is the negative I have and it is the stands and wall mounts. The acoustimass 6 does not come with any extra accessories, so if you add the bose stands and wall mounts, it can run as close as $200. I chose the name brand for the quality. Final note, what I've learned that you have to set the speakers according to the user's manual and your receiver has to be near compatible watts wise.
