Pros compact
Cons Poor quality. Marginal sound, especially in 5.1 mode. No support.
Recommended it? No

I've owned a Bose 321 for about 18 months. Last month the unit quit. Bose takes a position that basically says, "Buy a new one." As has been noted elsewhere, there were numerous glitches until the latest update. But complete component failure after 18 months of light usage is a new experience for... Read full review »

UPDATE YOUR SYSTEMS

byschnavid Sep 16, 2004
3 Helpfuls 4 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros simplicity, elegance of design, lifelike sound
Cons numerous glitches until I received the most recent software update
Recommended it? Yes

If I were to rate my 3-2-1 system right now (after my second software update), I would give it 5 stars. However, I have taken 2 stars away for the many headaches suffered these past months trying to get the system up to its present level of performance. I have experienced all the glitches and... Pros Terrific system before the upgrade.
Cons Only a single CD/DVD tray.
Recommended it? Yes

I have had s Bose 3-2-1 system for about a year and was very impressed with it, especially when playing DVDs through my big screen TV. I received an upgrade package in the mail yesterday and inserted their upgrade CD per their instructions. However, after getting the the "COMPLETE" message at the... Read full review »

Pros Great DVD sound and separation.
Cons Tremendous software problem.
Recommended it? No

I have been a fan of Bose for years but now that has changed. I bought the 321 system and set it up. I first put a CD in and the sound was good after adjusting the bass and treble. It could have some more hi's but that's not my beef. After playing a few movies I found out the system would not play... Read full review »

Pros Compact size Ease of setup Sound quality Price
Cons Remote could be better designed
Recommended it? Yes

I ordered my bose system and a DLP televsion at the same time....but the bose arrived at my house a few days earlier so I had a chance to really scrutinize the sound before my big screen arrived. It took only 3 business days for the 3-2-1 system to arrive so that was a pleasant surprise. My system... Read full review »

Pros no rear speakers no visiable wires
Cons wish for better surround sound effect.
Recommended it? Yes

I really wanted a 5 speaker system, but my wife is constantly rearanging the living room. Wires would not work as she even hates to see an outlet. So I tried the 321. So far I am pleased. It is a comprimise. Better sound and no extra wires. It works for me... Read full review »

3-2-1 experience less than perfect

Pros Sounds good, easy to connect and use.
Cons So far needs regular "reboots" to restore sound. Jury is out on customer...
Recommended it? No

Bought my Bose 3-2-1 less than one month ago. The system is easy to connect and use, but not as simple as the company literature would have you believe. Connected per instruction, TV sound is available ONLY through the BOSE which means you always must operate both the Bose and the TV--two remotes... Read full review »

Pros Sound quality
Cons everything else
Recommended it? No

Maybe its me, but for $1000 i expect high tech output. My series one doesnt have component output which i just found out is needed for progressive scan. There is no clock, no labeling, and no memory for audio options. Bose has no upgrade program. I said screw it and bought a separate progressive... Read full review »

Pros Audio for TV and CD's
Cons Big DVD player problem
Recommended it? No

The 321 Bose system is great for small rooms and minimal equipment space requirements. But there seems to be a problem that we have experienced after three months and we are now on our second Bose 321 system (and still having the same problem) - that we have recently researched and read about in... Pros Best sound ever. 3 speakers.
Cons The box is ugly. some glitches.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this to hook it up to my Plasma monitor and digital cable box.
The sound is just great. It has very small speakers that look very chic.
The progressive scan DVD produces great pictures. The box is plain looking and does not give you many options to play around. Some software hick... Read full review »
