Bose 3.2.1 GS II Theater System

We have this system and wish we didn't! For as much as it costs - it should last FOREVER - but in less than 6 months, we have exchanged one (the first one- within first week after purchase) and now need to return unit #2. The first one ate a CD and wouldn't eject it, wouldn't do anything else, completely froze up. Took it back to Sam's club and they had to call Bose to get permission to exchange it! Now unit #2 has something wrong with the volume. Anytime you try to adjust the volume, it goes to mute - and you have to either shut it off and on, or switch to another function then back to what you want, to get the volume adjusted and to get it off the mute. Very inconvenient and should NOT be happening with as much as these things cost! The sound is awesome for as small as the speakers are and watching DVDs is like being at the theater, but all these problems is just wrong!
