The bose 3 2 1 system is awful. I bought it because of the name: bose. I assumed it would be good quality.....it is not. Sound is great. If it was just a bose radio, i would rate it highly. But my beef is with its cd/dvd player. My walmart dvd player does a better job. At least it works. The bose failed after a year. Now it plays some dvds and not others. It stops half way through others and wont start again. As i am writing this, i have been waiting 30 minutes for the cd tray to pop open. It will probably only open if i use my foot to convince it.
If i had to do it again....i would buy a top quality stereo amplifier and good speakers, a cd/dvd players (not bose, maybe a denon), and plug them together with my tv.
This problem results from poor engineering and poor component parts. When you cheap out, things fail. This means most of the high cost goes to profit and not to quality.
