3-2-1 experience less than perfect
Pros
Sounds good, easy to connect and use.
Cons
So far needs regular "reboots" to restore sound. Jury is out on customer service.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Cannot recommend unless Bose fixes flaws, and fixes them quickly.
Bought my Bose 3-2-1 less than one month ago. The system is easy to connect and use, but not as simple as the company literature would have you believe. Connected per instruction, TV sound is available ONLY through the BOSE which means you always must operate both the Bose and the TV--two remotes. During first night's use, the sound would occasionally and mysteriously just quit. Calling Bose customer service the next day, we were told to reboot by unplugging and replugging the subwoofer module. Were told, "They just do that sometimes." It has continued to do it. Sound vanishes at random and requires a reboot. That means you miss part of the movie you are watching if on satellite or cable. With DVD or VHS you just have to rewind--still frustrating. Emailed Bose customer service three days ago--got a response that promised an answer "within one business day." No response from Bose yet. If not fixed by this weekend, it's going back to the Bose store.
