Bosch SHX98M09UC Dishwasher
Pros
The quietest dishwasher sold in the United States
Cons
Doesn't clean unless you run it 4 consecutive cycles! Waste of energy and time.

The Bottom Line:
Do not buy this machine. It does nothing more than consume water, electric and detergent. Bosch will not support the machine. One star because they don't have zero stars.
The only thing worse than this product is the company that has their name on it. Avoid this machine and all Bosch dishwashers. 5 service calls on the machine because it doesn't clean dishes. It is indeed very quiet. You must run the machine 4 cycles which is about 9 hours for dishes to actually come out looking and smelling clean. After the 5th letter to the company, they no longer respond. A $1,500.00 piece of junk.
The performance of this machine is unacceptable. From the very first use, it was apparent that this machine would not remove food product and food smells unless four consecutive cycles were run. The dishes and glasses loaded into the machine were not heavily soiled and did not have baked on food. In most cases, all visible food product was scraped off and the dishes and glasses before a cycle was run. Eating utensils have never come clean. Glasses and dishes will always come out of the machine smelling like whatever food product was on them. Even worse, if a plate smelled like fish or egg that was on the plate before a wash cycle, the entire load of dishes and glasses would smell like that food product after a wash cycle. I have run every cycle available on the machine and every detergent available and every amount of rinse agent possible in hopes that I was just using the machine wrong. I have had five service calls on this machine, four of which were for this problem. I have followed all advice from service companies and from Bosch Corp. I have put up with this machine for a year and have exhausted all means for correcting this problem. I have documentation for all phone conversations and service calls concerning this machine. I have written six letters to Bosch Corp. I have since purchased a different brand dishwasher which works very well as it should. I want my money back.
I have written three letters to Bosch for this problem. Each letter was answered the same, laying blame somewhere else, even blaming absence of a high loop on the drain. The high loop has always been there and 4 Bosch technicians have personally seen the high loop. The last response blamed the drain, improper use and the detergent. The response of Bosch is criminal.
When I purchased this dishwasher, I hired a very reputable plumber to install it to eliminate me from any future problems. When the dishwasher failed to perform properly, I allowed a Bosch authorized service company to troubleshoot it and attempt to repair.
I find the Bosch responses to be insulting. I own an appliance repair company and have personally been on over 10,000 service calls. Bosch has ignored my sixth letter. You are not alone. My Bosch dishwasher does not clean properly. My Bosch dishwasher does nothing more than consume electric, detergent and water.
The first week of June in 2010, I purchased a new Sears Kenmore dishwasher at a local store and connected it to the same water supply , the same drain and the same electric circuit. I am using the same box of detergent. The new dishwasher is quiet enough and the cycle time is comparable. The results of a load of dishes is quite different. The new machine cleans very well and never smells funny, dirty or strange after a wash cycle. I have run the new Sears machine for 1 year. The Sears dishwasher has cleaned every load of dishes perfectly which is about 3 loads per week.
This model can't be made to do its job. Too bad for you if you own one and can't seem to get it to clean. It is probably not your fault. Bosch will not support their product if it doesn't clean, it is your word against theirs. Best advice I can give is to purchase another brand machine. The Sears model I purchased to replace this thing cleans very well.
