I wouldn't recommend this to anyone! I hate mine!
Pros
There are none!
Cons
doesn't spin out, replaced several parts, ties clothes in knots, shakes whole house.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
would not recommend it - is a waste of money and time.
I have had this washing machine for approximately 10 months. We first called in service to fix the problem of nothing happening when pressing the wash cycle button. It took service (2 separate companies) 7 visits to finally get the door, hinges, electronic panel replaced. Now it works most of the time - even the stop button, so now if I drop a sock, I can actually stop it and throw in the sock. Every once in a while it still won't start if the door isn't just perfect.
If you throw in a full load of men's long sleeve dress shirts, they are tied in knots, literally. You have to have a basket setting there all the time so that you can pull the whole load out, untie them, and then place them in the dryer. Blue jeans are just as bad.
One of the sales pitches we received was being able to cram the washer extra full and it could handle it. I've never done that. I still put in the same amount of clothes as my old washer. Their sales pitch is deceiving.
If you put a load on "Kids Care", expect it to take 2 hours, no matter how much you've put in there. I set of king size sheets (w/pillow cases) on hot water will take > 1 hour to wash - approximately 1.5 hours. Then if it spins out, you're lucky. It's frustrating to start a day or evening thinking that you'll get several loads of wash done, and then have to re-wash or wait an extra hour, and only getting 2 loads done. It usually takes me several days to do wash because of the timing.
I have to use Velcro on the doors and walls to hold the doors open so that I can pull a load out of the washer. when it doesn't spin out, you still have to pull the wet clothes out to untangle and then throw back in to re-spin - or sometime re-wash.
If you throw in a load and then expect it to be ready to put in the dryer in approx. 1 hour, many times that doesn't happen. Because you're busy doing other chores, when you finally get back to the laundry, you find it hasn't spun out or it still has 1 hour of time left. A working person has better things to do than babysit an unreliable washing machine.
When it goes into the spin cycle, it sounds like a military helicopter right over the house. The whole house shakes! We were told later that it really should be installed on a concrete floor in the basement.
I wouldn't recommend this washing machine, or any Bosch washing machine or dryer to anyone. When my step-son recently got his own home, we thought perhaps we'd give these to him (and buy a different brand for us) because then he wouldn't have to purchase any right away. He said, no thanks!!! See, I can't even give them away!!!
