Bosch Nexxt Series 300 Washer

Pros Super efficient & very very quiet!!
Cons I can't think of anything that I have not liked.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to buy a quality product that will outlast others. The best feature is the savings per year in water & electricity.
When I went out shopping for a washer, I did NOT want to spend a lot of money due to the problems I went through with my last washer that isn't even 6 years old!! I went to HHGregg to get a GE with a stainless steel drum. Once I got there I took a peek in their clearance area. Unfortunately, I only found the Bosch dryer, which I wasn't even looking for, at the astonishing price of $320. While the salesman was getting me a price on the GE, I decided to take another look in the clearance area. I found the Bosch washer for $620!!

I was already aware of the high quality of Bosch products, but certainly did not think I could afford the set, but at the open box price, it was a steal I couldn't pass up. The following reasons are why I love this machine and would suggest for anyone to spend the extra money to purchase it:

- The life of the machine is approx 15 years based on 8 loads a week. Since I only do an average of 4 loads a week, this may be our last washer purchase!!

- Upon doing my first load, I noticed the clothes smelled different when I took them out. The only way I can describe the smell is that they smelled cleaner somehow.

- Due to the high energy efficiency rating, I should save a minimum of $150 per year in water & electricity. In 5 years the washer will pay for itself!

- I love the stainless steel drum. Now I don't have to worry about peeling, chipping or rust.

- The control panel was a bit confusing at first, but once I read the instructions, it was very easy to use. I really like that it has so many options that I will actually use! The manual goes into detail about which setting is best for certain loads of clothes. Even though I've been doing clothes for almost 30 years, the info was very interesting.

- Since this is a high efficiency washer, you must be careful when using your regular laundry detergent. The amount of laundry detergent you use could damage the machine and possibly your clothes. Bosch suggests using HE detergent, but you don't have to. However, if you don't, you will have to measure out the amount of detergent you are using with a tablespoon. I used 3 tablespoons of regular Tide for a full load and reduced the amount when the load became smaller. Once I run out of my detergent, I will likely purchase the HE detergent just because I think it will be easier than constantly measuring the detergent out.

Although I've only done 6 loads in it, I already know I'm going to love this machine!
