I bought my boppy pillow when my son was about 2 months old. He was a big baby and I'd heard it helped when nursing. I wish I'd have gotten it sooner.
It is a pillow that is mainly used to help with nursing but has many other uses. Once my son was learning how to sit, we were able to prop him up using the boppy giving him extra support. He is now 15 months old and he still uses the pillow. He likes to lay on it when watching TV or looking at his books. I highly recommend this to anyone who is pregnant and may be planning on breastfeeding their child. It is machine washable.
