Not much of a help when you are breastfeeding!!!

Pros Great for a play, tummy time, provides good support
Cons Not very comfortable for breastfeeding. Not for tall(or average!)people.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  You should go to the store and try to adjust it on your waist to see if the pillow is working for you personally before you spend your money
I bought my BOPPY BARE NAKED PILLOW at a Methodist Church Maternity sale when I was about 5 month pregnant with our son. I've heard so many comments from other moms who loved it and I was very excited to purchase it. I intended to breastfeed exclusively but due to multiple health issues I could only do it for the first three months. But I continued using Boppy even when my boy was bottle-fed.

DESCRIPTION.

The Boppy Bare Naked Pillow is actually a support pillow in a C-shape that adjusts on mommy's waist while sitting to help to hold the baby.It comes in natural off-white color usually("bare-naked"),and you can purchase different covers separately. It weighs about 3 pounds, and is about 18" long.

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT BOPPY PILLOW.

Boppy gives firm support to your tiny baby. I especially enjoyed it actually when I stopped breastfeeding. I didn't have to hold my son all the time.I just laid him down on a Boppy pillow and was slightly supporting him with one hand while holding the bottle with another. And he was looking up at me with his bright-blue eyes...Oh,I miss it already!!!
And I loved to use Boppy for tummy time.My boy totally hated tummy time on the floor but with a support from Boppy he could see better and enjoyed it a lot more. And when he got a little older,we used Boppy to prop him while sitting.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT BOPPY PILLOW.

Well, honestly I didn't like it when I was breastfeeding! I'm an average 5'6" high but when I tried to use the Boppy,I couldn't sit straight. I had to lean towards my when I was feeding him. After a few attempts my back was just killing me. Finally I started to put a little flat pillow underneath the Boppy to make it sit higher.
And as with lots of newborns,my son almost always felt asleep while feeding. And it's really uncomfortable to try to move the Boppy off the waist when you try not to wake up your sleeping beauty. I would just let the Boppy fall off me on the floor and then try to step over it without falling. So clumsy!!!
And my last complaint is this thing is NOT LEAKPROOF!!!! The cover holds most of the spit-ups  but not the leaky diapers!!! My son had a major blowout once while I was feeding him,and it leaked all the way through the cover and soaked the pillow. YUCK!!! You can't really clean the Boppy when it happens. You can't put it in a washer, and spot cleaning is not going to help with this "stuff". I had to buy a new pillow afterwards(lucky for me,they had another Maternity sale around that time!)

THE CONCLUSION.

I bought my Boppy pillow for about 5$, and it was worth every dime spent. But when you buy for the full price( and it can be up to 40$ with up to 30$ for the cover!!!), you might need to think twice and maybe go to the store and try one "on you"
