Geneen Roth - Women, Food, and God: An Unexpected Path to Almost Everything

An honest and raw portrait of a life long struggle with compulsive overeating. It makes sense and treats the reader (compulsive) with kindness-key for an illness so strongly based in shame. Most importantly it tells you how to conquer the disease in clear and simple terms without sugar coating the fight ahead. Even if you don't agree with her methods-it's hard not to identify with her struggles. I can't imagine one could walk away, after reading this book, without a better understanding of what drives compulsive behaviors. If nothing else, you should find this book  a comfort-you are not alone and you are not crazy.
